That’s my issue with Hospice in general— often they help people die sooner than they need to, or in many cases, want to. “Going on hospice” is often simply an acceleration of death and dying disguised as compassionate care.

My wife worked 35 years with a great FP and personal friend. He retired about 5 years ago. So, we have named another younger MD friend, who will make the call re when to pull the plug or not. We spent about 30 minutes with him. His feelings towards this issue are the same as ours.

There is no financial advantage for him to pull the plug early.
