Electric cars are ego toys. Fine for those who want them. It’s their money, as long as the cars are not subsidized by the government. But the rest of us must live in the real world.

Except it isn’t their money. You and I paid for a portion of their car (sort of) with our taxes. From the web:

But what about the FIT credit? This is the (up to) $7,500 per car that a buyer can deduct from his or her annual U.S. federal tax liability, assuming the person has any such liabilities.”
