Gateway is using the same kind of photo comparisons here that reddit has used to out Antifa thugs.
But I guess when that process isn’t useful to someone’s story line it’s to be ignored.

If you look at the two pairs of pants in the two photos they are not the same pair of pants, look at the strips by the zipper on both pairs they do not line up the same.
