And about the coonman comment: I went to a similar military college. We ALL had nicknames. Some came from high school, but most originated during your first year. I could give you the origin of every nickname of the guys in my class. It’s not better than any other college experience, it’s just different.
To suggest that he has no idea why a couple of upperclassmen would start calling him that is absurd. Ask any of his classmates— they could tell you, but their loyalty to a classmate would prevent it.
