I was new to the community and often visited a local pancake house where the Priest and his companion would frequent and why I asked about the pair as I was curious why the young man was always with the Priest. The person who shared this attended the church when growing up. Even today it disgusts me that the entire fellowship was aware yet remained silent..

This is an example of why Fr. Martin Luther wrote the 95 items.
The Ninety-five Theses or Disputation on the Power of Indulgences is a list of propositions for an academic disputation written in 1517 by Martin Luther, professor of moral theology at the University of Wittenberg, Germany, that started the Reformation, a schism in the Catholic Church which profoundly changed Europe
The odds are pretty high that the “young man” has since committed suicide. So sad.
Like I said....there you go.
Proof positive.
More proof positive.
Hush your mouth, this is a really funny movie - Not appropriate for Democratic voters. Is there such a rating ? there should be
Well I got to agree with you there.
Blazing Saddles was one of the funniest movies....ever.
How silly...”behind your back” this is an ongoing thread..that you are very active on.
Many posters will ‘miss” adding the person or post they are talking about sometinmes. But if you want to be a “victim’ of malicious posters who DELIBERATELY “POSTED BEHIND YOUR BACK”,OK.
Rather than Catholic laity demonstrating with other members of their church laity against this abomination of murder and demanding the Catholic church come out in public to denounce the law and ask that Coumo should be excommunicated... they post on social media ( Facebook, etc)that “someone should stop this or someone should do something “
btw..Catholics are not alone...Don’t see any other Christian churches coming out in public outrage.
It is sad and depressing to see what has become of Christianity..no wonder Europe is overrun by Muslims
You may have the last word.
Have a good week.
How can I....Im a malicious poster who deliberately talks about someone behind their back and then has been sent to hell.
I will NOT include you in any future comments on the Catholic church(or what little is left of it)...that way we can keep the focus on issues and I won’t have to hear all the tirades about me that just avoid discussing the facts and issues.
Again, you may have the last word.
“Blazing Saddles was one of the funniest movies....ever.”
I agree. Recently Mel Brooks, the genius behind Blazing Saddles, History of the World (part 1) & Space Balls said in an interview that those movies could not have been made in today’s world of political correctness.
How sad.
I relocated so I don’t know what the end result was. But I wouldn’t be surprised if he did.
I don’t believe that at all.
She is like a lot of people. She needs more proof than some people say. I would also note that the media push this story because they have an agenda. And the media often lies or tells half truths, or doesn’t report some things at all.
I do believe there are some homo pedophiles in the church (and they are PIMARILY homosexuals) and they need to be tried and convicted, but the MANY things said are often gossip, innuendo and downright slander.
I pray for guidance. God tells me, in his way, like insight or just an idea—”Look what they do to and say about Trump. Do not believe them without evidence.”
Regardless of all that, rest assured Pat stands AGAINST child molestation in any form by anyone.
About Luther.
He was a Catholic priest, first, no?
He could not remain quiet about certain evil practices (which I believe were manmade, and not definitive of the Church itself), but other men in the church, and certain secular kings and princes opposed him, rather than work with him.
So, with a LOT of years of back and forth and arguing, he left and started his own church.
If I could go back in time, I would tell him to stay, and fight the evil, rather than walk away.
There are many in the Catholic church TODAY who are fighting against the evil that exists in some men, but that doesn’t make good copy for the media. Something bad happened when Benedict 16 stepped down. I don’t know what, but perhaps it had to happen to prepare the final fight, who knows? But if so, for this reason alone, I can’t abandon my church.
The disunited Christianity since 1500 has hurt our Grand Western Civilization, but never more profoundly than in this modern age.
That makes me think it won’t be long...
Oh my goodness, you are right but this issue is as much a failure of conservatives who post here and elsewhere INSTEAD of being active in the community.
As much as I love Free Republic, I wonder if all our energies were devoted from here to beating the bushes to get more conservatives voting, opposing leftists, and above all fighting the left in education, we'd be much better off!
I'm reminded off 2014, when Matt Bevins was running in Kentucky against Mitch the Turtle, but the Turtle still won, with only about 30% of the eligible Republicans voting. And then people here b1tched and b1tched about the Turtle in the General Election, which didn't help at all. Bevins was better than McConnell, who was better than the democrat, but just couldn't get off their butts to help out, get the vote, etc., etc. God helps those who help themselves. We could have made a difference!
We almost got did, for a half a year--with the TEA party-- but went back to sleep somehow.
No, I did not. I was echoing Fish's comment.
you thought I was a liberal...that hurt
No, I did not. I was echoing Fish’s comment.
...
Thank you...sometimes it is hard to get the sarcasm back to sarcasm...
