Democratic state lawmakers in New Jersey arent done seeking President Donald Trumps tax returns.
Some members of the state Legislature have revived legislation that would require candidates for president and vice president to disclose their tax returns from the previous five years to appear on the ballot in the Garden State.
The bill would also ban New Jerseys voters in the electoral college from voting for a candidate that did not do so.
That would affect Trump, a Republican who in 2016 became the first presidential candidate in four decades not to release his returns, if he runs for re-election in 2020.

Democrats in rebellion again.
They should be informed after their rebellion is put down.
I am embarrassed to live in this state.
Excellent post.
Superb analysis and suggestions.
I’ve always loved the term “citizen legislator,” which connotes ones serving who are more in touch with “ordinary” people.
Regrettably, we are plagued by politicians who become beholden to special interests lobbyists on whose behalf they serve at our expense.
It truly is astounding how so many remain in office until they literally can barely walk or talk coherently.
When was the last time a Republican received electoral votes from New Jersey?
Thanks so much!
Just a minute...this means that, as a resident, I wouldn’t be able to vote for a candidate on the national ballot running for president??? Who again is it who is trying to suppress the vote?
That's why we have bullets! Stops them every time! Going to have to start nutting up. It is coming to the boiling point where we have to get off the keyboard and show willingness to defend this constitution. My predictions is 10 years from now we'll be on underground black web forums bitching about doing something.
Bush/Quayle in 1988.
Since 1992, NJ has gone Democratic.
Dole and Bush 43 tried to appeal to NJ, but they lost.
That's because of the lefties who moved from NY to NJ after they trashed NY.
Liberals can steal all the votes for President in states that they control and it has zero impact on the election results.
Similarly, liberals can pass as many ridiculous requirements as they wish and it will not impact the results of the election.
We are very fortunate that the popular vote is irrelevant in Presidential elections. If the liberals want to cheat, they have to do it in states that are at least close to being conservative states.
“I am embarrassed to live in this state.”
Same here - though if things continue on their downward trajectory here, it may end up in play again. Dems have ruined the state, but I fear too many working American taxpayers have left to give any Republican a shot now.
Justice Roberts is owned lock, stock, and by obama. He will do as obama tells him to do.
Hmmm, let’s see, how many electoral votes did Trump get from NJ last election? ZERO. No biggie. The politics in this state suck but it is my home.
I used to live in Mount Laurel which is in Burlington County - Both solid republican areas. However, it is surrounded by crap holes and started to become a frickin' rat race. I now live in West Wildwood. If not for the move, which was the best thing I ever did, I would have moved out of state.
ps - don't tell anyone about West Wildwood, I don't want the rats moving down here.
I think you’re safe down there; not enough free sh!t to attract the takers...
3 decades of totally left governance. States going the other way have become rare. My native California seems hopelessly lost. New Mexico, then Colorado, then Nevada are slipping away. My state now, Arizona, is drifting away too. The entire southwest!
We’ve got to reverse this trend. As we are seeing, the left is putting up barriers to solidify power, preventing voters from choosing conservatives.
