There are about 24,500 injection drug users in San Francisco — that’s about 8,500 more people than the nearly 16,000 students enrolled in San Francisco Unified School District’s 15 high schools

Another milestone reached by that liberal nirvana San Francisco the home of Kamala Harris.

They voted for this. And they want the same for the rest of the country.

With all the opiods, the very same is likely true for parts of Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia.

What has Pelosi or Feinstein done for California? Silicon Valley must not want a wall so they do not want a wall. Too much money in technology from Gov. to Silicon Valley. Democrats need donations quick and fast.

How many are in both categories, “drug addicts” and “high school students”? And what about private high school students?

Policies have consequences. Democrats create disasters and then blame their opponents. A responsible media might try to explain this.

Who profits from the Democrat Party policies? No drug enforcement, no immigrant enforcement and no wall funding is going to be provided by Pelosi or Schummer. What are the Democrats receiving in return for their liberal, socialist agenda?

If they admit to 24,500, it’s way higher than that.

One dose of Naloxone (for a overdose victim) runs at $4,100 (up around ten times what it was five years ago). In some of these rural counties, the medical folks have to budget for at least twenty of these events every month. You can do the math, and figure that most will not have any healthcare insurance to fall back upon....so the bill goes nowhere, and it causes your own personal insurance to rise as they have to profit elsewhere in the system to pay for the Naloxone.

Somewhere out there, some state needs to stand up and just say if you overdose, unless you or your relatives front $4,000 in cash at that critical moment....you don’t get the Naloxone, and we let you pass on. It’s the only effective way to let the problem resolve itself.

Being familiar with the private high schools in S.F., I’d say total enrollment there would be around 6,000.

Thanks. About 2/5 of the public school number, then. It doesn’t matter, really. I just noticed that the headline said “high school students,” while the article said “public high school students,” and it’s not the same thing.

However many drug users there are in San Francisco, West Virginia has more than three times the rate of Overdoses than California.

Restaurant in San Francisco can not give you a straw but the city will give you a free needle. On the plus side there are no straws on the San Francisco streets.

Narcan can cost around $130 to $140, for a kit that includes one to two doses and is available over the counter at CVS or Walgreens.
