Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) said Thursday it was "ludicrous" for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) to call taking troops out of Syria and Afghanistan “precipitous.”
“To call it a precipitous withdrawal after 17 years is ludicrous,” Paul said on Fox News. “We’ve been there 17 years.”
The libertarian-leaning lawmaker said the U.S. had secured a victory in Afghanistan because it “got bin Laden” and “disrupted the people who attacked us.”
He argued that the money spent on the war could be better spent domestically, including on a border wall.

He’s right. Just like in Vietnam, it was a waste of blood and treasure. Let the Muslims find their own destiny. If the taliban want to waste fellow Muslims, let them have at it. But betore we leave, lay waste to the poppy crops and sow the land with salt.

It’s a tough call. We pull out of Aghaniscrap, those tribal barbarians will just resort to their centuries old warring, and give room for another ISIS to emerge. Afghanistan has always been a land of warlords and thiefdoms.
17 years is absurd. We must find a more efficient and less costly way to take out terrorists than what was done in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria.
It’s not even fighting for them, we’re protecting their poppy fields for them! Armed guards protecting their boy rape “culture”
So Mitch agrees that issues Trump ran on like conservative judges and a border wall (publicly anyway) are goals that should be implemented since he won but Trump’s stated campaign goal to bring our troops home is not worthy of support.
