Sometimes we elevate people a little to high. We tend to lose perspective. Most would rather not be so famous and thrust into icon status. I am going by some of what Robinson and others have said over their lifetimes.
Retiring the number 42 throughout baseball but making all of the players wear it on Jackie Robinson Day is a STUPID idea. Jackie himself would not have approved.
