I see, you believe it was an ambush.

So theoretically if the officers had just gone up to the door and knocked you believe the residents would’ve shot the officers immediately upon opening the door or something to that affect.

Fair enough, but I would counter that all warrants served come with that same danger. Heck, in theory every stop a traffic officer makes is a possible ambush situation.

Due to this, are we as Americans, expected to give up some basic rights, to purchase that safety?

Serving a search warrant should be done with a knock at the door. Heck, it wasn’t until 1995, that a no knock warrant was allowed for the purpose of getting to evidence before it was destroyed (which I assume is the reason this no knock was approved)

Serving a search warrant, with a simple knock on the door, is sufficient and has been sufficient for many years. To go any further is to erode the rights of all Americans.

Absolutely, the police officers breaking down the door would be dead. And, some of sickos here would be celebrating, maybe with their local Antifa thug.
