You're making assumptions that aren't necessarily true -- that siren and flashing lights were turned on at the same time the door was being kicked in. The article doesn't reveal the timing of the siren and lights being turned on. But, I'd be surprised if it wasn't at the same time the other officers approached the house and before the door was kicked in.

But, you apparently want to assume the worst about the officers.

Look English is English and if you use those words they mean what they mean.

Look I would not want to be on either side of that door. Which is why we need these no knocks to stop. It always is a loose loose situation.

If you are the officer, you have no idea what the owner is going to do when you kick in his front door. On the flip side, if you are the owner, when that door suddenly gets kicked in you are automatically in fight or flight stage. If it is your home the only answer is fight, especially if people entering are plain clothed.

No, these no knock warrants are no good, they are dangerous for all involved. And they have been on the rise. In ‘81 there were 3,000, by 2005 there were 50,000.
