I think Allen can pull it out in 2021-—especially if Virginia Democrats overplay their hands on abortion, etc.
If Allen didn’t lose his Senate seat in 2006, he could have won the presidency in 2008 or 2012.
Allen is still a political player in VA.

I’ll say it again — by 2021 it will have been 21 years since he last was able to win office. He is yesterday’s news, as bad as Jim Gilmore, who performed disastrously when he also ran for the Senate. The VA GOP needs new blood.
