Once Dennis Miller said that he had been on a plane with a lot of born-again Christians going to a convention. The plane had problems and was descending fast. Passengers expected they would die. Miller said, “... and they didn’t CARE!”
I am by no means a fearless Christian. However, I have been close to death three times, and was not greatly afraid.
(I am far more afraid of prolonged, torturous pain than I am of death. I have experience with such.)
