But seriously, cheer leading was meant to rouse the fans DURING plays, and in huge stadium you can’t see them. Pointless to just have them doing halftime shows.
Leave them to high school where they are visible.
If you’ve ever attended an NFL game the cheerleaders are quite visible from the stands and of course on the jumbotron.
You don’t have to have your eyeballs bleed trying to see them from the cheap seats. That’s what the jumbotrons are for, especially between plays when there’s not much going on to look at. Besides, it’s part of the team’s brand and is useful off the field, too. Or used to be. Sigh.
