I guess they don’t want to mention the country of origin?

I’ve considered buying peaches, nectarines and plums over the last few weeks but then looked at the country of origin. I am always hesitant about fruits and vegetables from other nations.

I will buy fruits and vegetables from foreign nations if there are little or no options available in the USA — bananas, avocados, limes, and maybe a few others. I prefer it not be for close to 3rd world nations too.

Peaches are my favorite but I got this weird feeling I shouldn’t buy any.....

You won’t find much US-grown fresh fruit on your grocer’s shelves in the dead of winter. Maybe some of those nasty red delicious apples that have been setting in a warehouse since September.
