This reminds me of the decline in “retardation” and rise of “autism”. A lot of people who were in one category are now classified as the other.
Another problem is the scope creep because identity politics says “the more people in the tribe, the more you get”.
A lot of homosexuals ARE being classified as transgenders in the younger generation, girls who’d be butch lesbian now told you’re a transman. Even tackier is telling autistic women that because of your logical thinking, systemic worldview and not-so-feminine behaviors ... you must really be a man. For the socially awkward and isolated, the sudden supportive community and explanation is attractive.
Growing up I was always called a tom boy. Glad I didn’t grow up in this current era.

Two percent is a magical number to the progs. Not many years ago, they claimed that 2% were homos. Now that homos are 50% (according to popular TV shows), trannies are the new homo.
When the next perversion hits and trannies have hit 50% on TV shows, the progs will claim that 2% of youth are into the new perversion.

I agree. The actual incidence is supposedly around two-thirds of one percent. Yet being cool and hip only boosts it to two percent. Yet look at all the fuss over accommodating these poor deluded people

I don’t doubt it. People with actual gender confusion are probably isolated, alienated, bullied, treated like freaks, beaten up, humiliated, ostracized by family and peers, self-hating, and suffering from depression and other mental disorders. It’s surprising any survive.
We completely disagree. Gender dysphoria is as real as any condition we now place under the category of mental illness.
How sad that you are so insulting over this. I make every effort to be honest and fair but you are just trying to insult me. Which doesn’t bother me; I just find it sad for these patients to be treated badly because of people like you who don’t take them seriously.
