Joshua tree is nothing but a land grab national park. There is no way it deserves park status.

1. You've never been there. 2. Land grab? Why would the government set aside this location that draws hundreds of thousands of people every year just so could stare at it's awe-inspiring, other-worldly beauty?

Yep, been there twice. In fact I have been to most of the national parks in the US. There is nothing special about Joshua Tree. In fact I have been to numerous state parks which would be better suited to be national parks than Joshua Tree.
