The reality of life on the US-Mexico border is not what President Trump is describing from Washington, according to the mayor of El Paso, Texas. Dee Margo, a Republican, said there's a vibrant relationship between his city -- the largest on that border -- and Juarez, Mexico.

This “vibrant” culuture is why most houses in border regions have bars on their windows, the reason why bail bondsmen have the most lucrative and growing businesses in town, the reason why most buildings - public and private - are festooned with gang graffiti, and the reason why there are piles of trash lying around everywhere.
Margo = Mario?
This is CNN. America’s Fake News Headquarters.
Like we always say in Texas, “Dayum, Margo.”
Oh sure thing Dee. The cartels dump bodies, send drugs, you pay for Mexicans to be educated and have health care....just swell
Says the guy in the city with a border wall

CNN “fake news”headline. Trump had the honesty to compare the crime rates of the two cities. So CNN interviews El Paso mayor and he graciously refuses to attack Juarez. Prudent move by the mayor. Why increase animosity between border cities? CNN uses statement to attack Trump. I’m sure mayor was never asked about the difference in crime rates between the two cities. The mayor’s sin is not understanding that CNN would write a Trump hit piece and refusing the interview, or refusing to give his “opinion” on something that could not be factually supported. The headline should have read:
“Border wall insures harmonious relationship between El Paso, and Juarez”
so graffiti, gangs, garbage and gunfire are the vibrancy of which the mayor speaks
coming to all America soon
Ah, another dependable story from CNN. All anti-Trump all the time, 24/7. Bah Humbug, CNN.
He must have 2 deep freezers full of cash.
School buses line up along the border to take kids crossing over to go US schools.
I used to know certain West Coast coastal Indians that had chests of drawers full of cash -
And Bloomberg ran as a Republican too - we know that “Republican” and Conservative don’t usually equate these days.
“School buses line up along the border to take kids crossing over to go US schools.”
True, but they pay full tuition. It’s actually a profit center for EPISD.
somebody’s on the take
Yeah, from what I hear, the cartel payed millions to the president of Mexico.. I sure they could find a few hundred thousand for the mayor of a border town...
You got to pay the bite,
if you want to make it right... :)
Up until about eight years ago, whenever my sisters-in-law from Australia and England would come to visit, we’d go to El Paso and cross over to Juarez for them to buy some souvenirs. The last time we crossed over, about 2010, we barely got across the bridge before my wife and sisters-in-law started to be harassed by Mexicans. So we immediately turned around and returned to the US ... haven’t been back since, and, unless I inside an M1 Abrams or an M2 Bradley, I won’t ever do so again.
That’s a dude?
I guess you could say that 200 murders
per month (in Juarez) would allow for
vibrancy in a relationship between
the two cities.
Where did you move to?
