EV drivers would be incentivized to slow down in charging zones to increase the charging rate, and there's the possibility that this will disrupt the traffic flow. At peak hours, even minor disruptions can cause backups and traffic jams. Unintended Consequences 'n all that ....
I'd have never thought of that. Great catch on your part.

What happens with electric vehicles if power goes out in a blizzard on the NY Thruway (or whatever)? Oh, no reason to worry. Blizzards will be a thing of the past as Climate Change® progresses, and besides, they are including solar panels to take over when the grid goes down. /s

Drivers with “charge anxiety” might even stop on top of the charging coils.

Oh, no reason to worry. Blizzards will be a thing of the past as Climate Change® progresses As I sit 30 miles SW of Chicago with six inches of snow on the ground that fell overnight and it's still coming down heavily, all I can say to that is: YES!! YES!! YES!!

Your response is really funny, in a this-is-how-it-all-ends kind of way. You're correct, and I feel better now. Those solar panels are SO EFFECTIVE during a blizzard in northern climates. And, yeah, maybe it won't be blizzards. It might be all of those tropical winter rainstorms when the polar ice melts.
Is there something very wrong with a world when a person is thankful for being a senior citizen? We won't get to experience all of the fun and games to follow!
