If Manchin he’s just posturing for a Rat Veep nomination or dark horse Rat Prez nomination. The bottom line I am pretty sure you can’t cut off Congressional(or staff!) pay during a shutdown unless they agree to it beforehand (Not likely!) and that’s due to Constitutional “separation of powers”. In other words the executive can’t do it unilaterally. I guarantee Manchin knows that! So he’s out gathering “sympathy & understanding” from “the rabble” because he & advisors are betting they don’t know! It’s a hollow concern\promise\idea! Something Manchin developed a skill for doing here in WV!

I doubt the current AG is any more than a compromised former Bush 41 Lackey but Trump had a reason for picking him has manchin’s other chatting point is not to pay Congress in the next shutdown
Agree on AG, but hope the Donald has him there for a reason. Manchin throwing out things that he knows will never fly.....
Alternative could be that Congress donates, like Trump does, their salaries to various department to keep them functional...

Clarence Thomas spoke about this nationwide injunction thing being Constitutionally wrong and disruptive, and it needs to be banned by the Supremes
Hopefully he can influence, once available without Roberts, a majority to side with him.
Alternatively can someone just petition the SC for just that....
