Then, after three weeks of spinning tires, Trump will be able to face the cameras and say “I reopened the government. I gave them what they wanted. They said they would bargain in good faith. They lied. I have no other choice but to declare an emergency and begin protecting the border myself.”

To do what must be done Trump must use the legitimate power of his office in EXACTLY the way the Dems would be using it right now if the positions switched. Hell, the Dems would do it ILLEGITIMATEY, never mind legitimatly. Trumps doing so WILL touch off a firestorm like the 1860s. Would Trump consider THAT winning?
