I’m certainly willing to give Trump the benefit of the doubt here. But I have one question for everyone here:
Come February 15th, do you think that
1. We will have legislation ready that funds the wall 5+ billion; or
2. Trump will declare the emergency.
I predict Lucy, football. On both. February 15th. Neither. And truly hope I’m wrong.
I think Trump is getting some really bad advice. If he trusted his instincts, Sessions would have been gone in a month. And the House would not have flipped. And we’d have the friken wall. And we’d be out of Syria and Afghanistan completely. And Come would be in jail. And McCabe.
He truly needs to go with his gut. This decision on the shutdown is him once again taking bad advice. He should have declared the emergency, ordered the DOJ to go all out on fighting any court actions, including ignoring any blatently unconstitutional (there is precident). If he had done it a year ago, we’d have a friken wall.
Etc.
It looks bad having a 79 year old woman steal your lunch money when you were this close.
He was in favor of the shutdown before he was against it.

Looks to me more like he didn’t cave in, so much as delayed the matter, put it off for a few weeks.
I will trust President Trump tp produce a win out of this.
Sure is disconcerting to read about the gibbering gloating of evil people, though.
That is the most sensible post on this issue that I’ve seen all day.

Why do any of these politicians not want a wall?
Simple. They are owned by the cartels. They were compromised. If they don't stop the wall as their bosses demand, it will not be a horse's head in their beds - it will be theirs.
I am beginning to think you are right. Time for an investigation.
