If they merely ended zoning, the way Houston and a number of other cities never had it, affordable housing would zoom with none of the complicated, sweetheart deal mandates the legislature keeps on dreaming up. No need for government subsidies and waiting lists or lottery drawings for affordable housing. Of course, wealthy liberals would be up in arms about apartment complexes suddenly popping up next door. Liberals love poor people, provided that they’re located far, far away.

Apartment complexes destroy the commons.

Roads are ruined but nobody pays.

I would love to see examples where congestion is reversed, and not just city dead zones.

Government should be mandated to haul away concrete and rebar. Then the dead zones should be returned to grass and trees with a ban on rebuilding.

We know that won't happen under Democrat rule.
