Well, if you read her, no, she is not talking about that. She is talking about RECENT legal immigration into a nation that PUTS ABSOLUTELY ZERO PRESSURE on immigrants to assimilate, and hands them welfare checks and “free” healthcare.
So, Ann is right again.
I can agree with her about assimilation. When my father and mother came here, immigrants were expected to assimilate into American society. They were allowed to hold on to their own languages, religions, and traditions. We didn’t even allow Native Americans that privilege. I don’t know what decade it all changed, but it didn’t happen recently, that immigrants to this country have been allowed to demand that America change for all of them. I think the liberal courts had a lot to do with it.
