I get it. It is all tremendously frustrating. You don’t need to be quiet, but how about some viable suggestions for what the president should do in a government with 3 parts in which he only controls one. How does he keep his promise to build the wall when he doesn’t control appropriations? We are listening, Reno. Hello?

Okay, fine. I don’t think declaring an emergency will work as the courts will stop it before the ink is dry. Even if it means shutting down government, he needs to stand fast. Unless Republicans join Democrats to override his veto, he still has power if he chooses to use it. He needs to skip the campaign talk and talk specifics, lay out a full plan to build the wall, reform immigration. And while this is happening, there is no reason why he hasn’t shut down the border with Mexico, a step short of an emergency, to say he has stopped things while congress works out an acceptable solution. Lots of other steps he can do. Deploy the military again, more, etc.
