we’ll have objective proof of who caved: we either get a wall or no wall.
It sounds like the Senate caved, doesn’t it? And if it shows up on Trump’s desk and he signs it, then he caved?
There are only two ways Trump comes out of this intact:
1.) There is funding for the border wall in the legislation.
2.) The House and Senate send it to his desk where he vetoes it, and the veto is then overridden by Congress.
That’s how I see it.
If it has funding, Trump wins. If he vetoes it and they override it, he may not win, but he won’t lose. If it contains no wall funding and he signs it, he will have lost.
