In the early days Rush’s show was such a smash that restaurants/pubs would set aside a room at around noon just for the fans.

You could eat, drink, and breath billowing clouds of aromatic smoke while listening blissfully to the master and conversationalizing with your friends.

There is a “solution”, but it’s so terrible I hate to even think about it. Sadly, it’s already underway in some areas, but full-scale nationwide, the storm sewers will overflow with blood.

Fall of 1988 was when Rush launched his show, to my recollection.

Changed my life, made me realize that I was in fact a conservative...and that my fine old father had been right (in both senses) all that time.

I think Rush celebrated the show’s 30th birthday this past fall.

Double rum coffee deliciously flavored w/ cinnamon, orange zest.......nice variation on Irish Coffee.

SMUGGLER'S COFFEE

METHOD In heat-proof glass, stir/dissolve 1/2 c hot strong coffee, 2 tsp sugar.
Stir in oz ea gold/dark rums. Add small cinnamon stick, long strip of orange peel.

SERVE Garnished with whipped cream, grated Mexican chocolate, orange zest.
