As of now, it sounds like the FBI had CNN along on the arrest. And CNN was given all the indictment docs in advance, so they were ready to roll with the “scoop” at 0600 eastern time.

CNN story says a dozen agents “armed with heavy weapons and wearing tactical vests” arrested Stone.

Assuming they meant rifles, as opposed to mortars and crew-served automatic weapons, but did the FBI really believe Stone was so dangerous that it would require a dozen men with long arms to take him in, or is that just SOP for any kind of FBI arrest these days?
