The day after the end of the NFL season, when teams fire allegedly underperforming head coaches, is known as Black Monday. This year that nickname was a tad too on the nose. Of the seven NFL head coaches fired, five are black.

If we strive for proportional hiring representative of the population, shouldn't we expect proportional firing, too?

Spot on, JohnO! It is tokenism and advertising to attract a race or push an agenda is disgusting. “Truth in advertising” is merely a slogan.
NFL football? I thought it was extinct. It’s nowhere to be found on my tv.
Yeah, but those “fat ugly broads” could tip the playing field, making “leveling the playing field” even more difficult.
Like tipping islands and all...
Astounding. I've finally found something I can agree with them about.
“Slashing, Hooking, Boarding, Cross-checking, Tripping, Roughing. It is out of control.”
You forgot “Spearing!” Now that could have racial overtones, couldn’t it? Keep your stick on the ice.
LOL, yeah...80% of players are black, in a nation of black’s being 12%...and a problem with the NFL is racism? Good grief...
BS.
The reason 6 black coaches got fired the day after the season was because they sucked. One of them, Marvin Lewis, held the job for 16 years!!!
Dungy, Tomlin, Super Bowl Winners. Long tenured. It’s about winning. If they win, they’ll stay.
The fact that there WERE 6 coaches to BE fired tells you all you need to know about blacks getting the chance.
And many more of since been hired. This is ridiculous. It’s irresponsible to write such drivel.
LOL! Great scene and, that be spearing. Sho nuff!
Back in my younger days in the Army, I "played" on my unit's basketball team, even though I couldn't hit the backboard, much less the basket; I couldn't dribble and move at the same time; and, at 5'6", I was usually the smallest guy out there.
But I was on the team for one reason and one reason only: I was the safety valve, if too many good players fouled out or were injured. I could go out on the court and basically stand in place, keeping the team from having to forfeit.
On more than one occasion, opposing players would tell each other not to bother covering me because I never made a shot to the basket, and that, as soon as the ball was passed to me, I passed it off. I fooled them once though ... I ended up with the ball with two or three seconds left, more than half-court away from the basket. So I just wound up and made like I was throwing the runner out at home ... and scored.
But, But, but Blue< “he shoots, he scores” is a hockey call.
Great shot...
Did you get “nothing but the bottom of the net?”
“You know, you’re stupid when you do that. Just some English pig with no brains, you know.”
The NBA’s low number of white players is evidence of systemic racism.
5.56mm
You say that, but I would note there are a lot more white European players, like Luka Doncic now in the league.
No, it hit the backboard like it had fired from a cannon and ricocheted straight through the hoop, nothing but net ...
The NFL does not represent society by players, coaches staff;
Women
Asians
Retards
Short people
Old people
Cross dressers
People in wheel chairs
No justice, no peace!
“hit the backboard like it had fired from a cannon and ricocheted straight through the hoop, nothing but net .”
Thanks for the laugh..is that where you got the “Lancer” from?
And kickers. There’s almost no black kickers in the NFL.
As neat as that sounds, no ...
Comes from my first assigned unit, 2/12 Cavalry, "The Blue Lancers" ...
