If he truly believes the southern border constitutes an emergency, he better get on the stick and call it formally. Otherwise, it’s NOT an emergency. Urgent, yes. Emergent, no.
You don’t wait till the corpse is 24 hours old before calling the ambulance.
He didn’t wait a month before sending in FEMA and the national guard after the hurricane in the Carolinas. That was an emergency. He ACTED QUICKLY.
By failing to wait, he proves it’s not an emergency, and he gives his opposers more ammunition to use against him.
