Kind of makes sense to me.
Tax cut was Ryan’s priority. And because they didn’t cut spending, but instead limited deductions for state taxes, it ended up raising taxes on my family and other residents other high tax states - probably contributing to loss of some GOP house seats in these states
Too bad Trump didn’t lead with his own campaign’s priority - building the wall. But Ryan and GOP establishment apparently talked him out of it. And their agenda was followed by (or: led to) election loss last November
