Not really. You’re going to Mexico, not bringing the Mexican dentist into the U.S.
Why shouldn’t a consumer shop around? If American dentists aren’t going to price themselves competitively, that’s their own fault.
If something goes wrong let us know how your malpractice lawsuit against the Mexican dentist goes
I know quite a few people who have gone to Mexico for dental care, health care, prescriptions, veterinary care, etc. The clinics are usually modern and clean and very cheap... I also have known many people who got mrsa or other infections from US hospitals. I think some people just dont like the idea of a robust free market thriving such as the private health care in Mexico. There are downsides of course. Want to sue? Good luck with that so get referrals just like you would here.
The pricing of services reflects differences in costs of doing business in Mexico vs. America.
For example, the American dentist has to pay much higher rent than the Mexican. American dentist is compelled to pay the hired helped far more per hour than Mexico. Workman’s comp, health insurance, and payroll taxes are higher. Malpractice insurance requirements are likely more stringent in America than Mexico.
So there are many reasons, why dental care would cost more on this side of the border. It is not simply a matter of the American dentists not pricing their services competitively.
