SEBRING, Fla. (WFLA) - An incident inside a central Florida bank ended with "several people down" on Wednesday afternoon. Sebring police officials say a man called 911 around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday and reported that he had fired shots inside the SunTrust Bank on US-27 South in Sebring. Sebring police officers and Highlands County deputies responded to the scene and established a perimeter around the bank. Our news helicopter flying over the scene saw a massive law enforcement presence as police tried to negotiate with the man barricaded inside.
Police were unsuccessful at first but say the man eventually surrendered after the Highlands County SWAT team went into the bank and continued to negotiate. Authorities have not released official details yet on if anyone was shot or how severe their injuries are but a police commander told News Channel 8 "several people were down."

Will this be a planned attack upon a spouse or love triangle?

Went to Scout camp in Sebring back in the early 70’s. Was mighty confused by the roadside stand signs that offered “Broasted” chicken.
Leave his glasses on when they run the juice through him. I want it on till the plastic lenses melt.
Years ago, I remember an item on one of Paul Harvey’s broadcasts, citing an unsuccessful bank robber in Minneapolis. He decided to stage a stick up in winter, on foot. Pointed a gun at a teller and demanded money; she complied and the robber grabbed his loot and fled on foot. As he strolled away from the crime scene, he noticed the dye pack in the bag with the money. For reasons unknown, the robber decided to stuff the dye pack down his pants. It promptly exploded and blew his trousers off. It was pretty easy for the cops to catch him; he was the only guy on the street who was naked (and purple) from the waist down, fanning himself, with his money bag lying on the sidewalk.
If there were any armed guards in the variuos banks I’ve been to, they weren’t in uniforms.
A nice old building, with tall ceilings and a great view of Lake Jackson (or a golf courseyour choice). Our car club stayed there when a show was featured in the 1980's.
The telephone area code was the same as Miami'sand Orlando's! It's changed four times since the 1980's.
Today, Highlands County is a good area to practice your Spanish. :-/
My money says that he was fed psychotropic drugs by the school system to make him sit still in grade school.
I have no reason to say that except the odds are probably in my favor. Polk County schools were really bad about pushing kids in to Ritalin in the 80s and 90s when we lived there. I have no reason to believe that has changed.
From what I’ve been reading he’s another guy could’ve been Baker Acted and wasn’t.
Great bass fishing
Yeah, it's "pretty complex".

>>Too bad it will be years before they can fry him. Frankly, Id be happy if they did it before sun down today.<<
You’ve touched on one of my never-ending criticisms. Goes like this: We are living in an uncivilized society because in any truly civilized country a perp who beyond any doubt has murdered or tortured an innocent victim would be tried, convicted, sentenced to death, and publicly hanged within 10 days of his apprehension. No exceptions and no appeals.
RIP.

Last one I saw was in a segment of Mayberry RFD.

About 10 years ago the talk jock Michael Savage was waging a one-man war against the drugging of children with Ratalin and other mind-altering medications.

Perfect! Mind if I use that for my tagline?
By all means.
