That’s the purpose of the “senate ethics committee”. Results would be almost 100% opposite if they randomly selected a jury of “we the people” to look at violations. The “ethics committee’s” purpose is to keep anyone outside of this “special class of citizens” from looking at the actions of the “special class of citizens”. R’s and D’s protect each other because they know “we the people” would find them both guilty.

At least an official ‘admonishment’ and expulsion from any major committee if not shown the door.
