I remember when National Review was a great read.
You may as well read as much of NRO as you can now, because it may not be in existence much longer if it ends up a defendant in these suits. There’s no way they have the cash to sustain a punitive judgment.
I remember when National Review was a great read.
Agree.
But now, they are duck t*rds.
I remember how happy I was to get NR in the mail! Now...just a bunch of NE liberal weenies trying to convince all the democrats around them that they are really nice guys in spite of sometimes voting GOP.
That’s when Wm. F. Buckley ,Jr ran it. I’ve been meaning to cancel my sub. I must remember to do it tomorrow
Going the way of The Weekly Standard.
When they had Peter Brimelow, John Derbyshire, and John O’Sullivan. Mr. O’Sullivan is still at NR in a diminished role.
Yes, but that was many years ago. As Mark Stein said a few days ago on Tucker, it's a worthless rag if one expects to find relevant conservative opinion. Sad that it has gone the way it has.
During the run up to the 2016 election, National Review ran multiple covers condemning Trump. After he was elected, nobody apologized or acknowledged they may have been in error. Victor Davis Hanson got an epiphany somewhere on the way and became pro-Trump but he never had the cajones to come out with a mea culpa.
Rather than irritate their internal Never-Trumpers, NRO acts as if nothing happened. This latest beclowning comes from their desperate need to say, “We were right! Trump should never have been elected.” It beats admitting they were wrong.
