Actually not. I knew a Marine who went to Ranger school. Also Marine sniper school. Transferred to the Army and became an Army Apache helicopter pilot, then did the pilot rescue missions. Helluva career.
But they would never all themselves Recon Rangers.

Yeah, my brother went to several Army schools as a Force Recon Marine.
Marines do occasionally send people to Ranger school, SF Q course, and others. But it isn’t $hitbirds. That happens when you are damn good already.
One thing that truly steams the USMC is sending someone to another services school and have them NOT be an exemplary standout. This ain’t him.
You are correct Toad. I was in Recon and we had Marines on TDY to Jump school, Ranger school and Scuba School.
