“Courage” isn’t really a good fit for what it is. There’s not necessarily danger or fear, just strangeness. Courage would be a more appropriate term if there were a clear threat.

Well I disagree. Courage is what it was. Chief whack-a-doodle could have done anything, at that point, and they were already Blacks taunting them that Jesse Jackson would have run from. The young man stood his ground. The others melted away.
People are so hung up on the pitiful small things in life... it’s astounding how small people are.. and how they’d crumble if had to deal with something significant!!!!!!
I know a mother who lost 2 of her sons on Christmas eve from a drunk driver hitting their car. 2 sons in one memorable night.. sudden and final. Deal with such and see what is important!
What, pray tell, does a look that ‘might be racism’ have to do with anything ... how can this story get so many hours and so much write up and opinion? Who cares what the look was or what it meant.... you all need to have something happen to you that makes your world turn upside down and never be the same again... to get a grip on what is important what is just fluff to be ignored!
I lost my husband suddenly and within a couple of months, went through nearly 2 years dealing with a son and leukemia... all my energies went to try to save my son... but it literally takes a healthy body and destroys it. We talked... I listened to him talk about how he was losing the battle. He was so sick and in his hospital bed, had to fight with his insurance to keep them from trying to drop him... and a brother who is a lawyer helped. but no one out there cares a whit about you, but yourself and your family. life is hard... sometimes it’s unbearble.. and I am out of patience with people who spend all day writing about something that doesn’t amount to a hill of beans. Instead of being thankful they have not been hit with a disaster.. they want to bellyache over NOTHING.
Losing my son was the worst thing that can happen to a mom... he was my go to son.. he was the thoughtful one... he was kind and the best... God took him.. in spite of all the prayers... but I know where he is.
I just can’t tolerate small stuff you guys think are worth your time. Trump has his hands full trying to save this nation! I wish his enemies had something else to spend their time on... something serious... to take up their idle time... for they are empty!!
God help us survive the gossipers and the enemy within... for they are led by the devil himself!
