Part of that is to innoculate their base from surprises in the future and also to deflect charges from Republicans that the press didn’t open up their past to scrutiny. By doing a superficial pass on declared Democrat candidates early, they avoid both problems without doing lasting damage to them. “Yeah, Yeah, they did some stuff. Here it is. Let’s move on...”

Why wouldn’t some woman be able to do this same thing, travel around and post about it? And, quite frankly, what’s wrong with it?
