Here we go with the famous Free Republic static economic analysis. Because something is like it is now that will never, can never change. For instance high end IT labor. The supply is fixed and never going to grow if we end H-1B. Increasing wages and prospects won't entice more to go into the IT field. Wrong, It will.
What stupidity.
Re: “Free Republic static economic analysis.”
I think you misunderstood Comment #6.
To my eye, his Comment was criticizing H-1B.
I wonder how often one of these companies sends out a head hunter and get the response from a prospect: “You could not pay enough to work in Silicon Valley”
I would like to see the reaction of the heads of some of these companies if they were told they need to go to the High School in a small midwestern city on career day and explain how their company offers a career path for the graduates to follow for the next 40 years. Oh and the careers will be in the student’s home town.
For at least 10 years the US has used Indian H1-B for IT entry level positions. A whole generation of college grads have been deprived of valuable experience because of the foreign imports.
