Monday, January 21, 2019, California Senator Kamala Devi Harris announced her candidacy for the 2020 Presidential election.
Outstanding questions pertaining to her candidacy include her eligibility for this office. The US Constitution specifies only a "natural born" US citizen may hold this post. Definitions of that term, according to the intent of the writers of the Constitution, as well as some later court rulings, indicate this means "born to two US citizen parents." The requirement was intended so that only someone with undivided loyalties to the US, someone not with possible divided loyalties to other nations, could assume the title of commander-in-chief of our armed forces.
The courts don’t make law, can’t change the Constitution or make anyone a citizen.
What law is that?
The thing that needs to be done is immigration reform.
Additional documents are in hand, and will be released in coming days (as circumstances warrant).
Hopefully, a dialogue about the definition and necessity of restricting “natural born” citizens to ballots for the Presidency, will grow from these releases.

Exactly right. She has been vaccinated by Nancy Pelosi. She has the Obama immunity. Questioning her eligibility means undoing Obama’s legacy. No one with the power to do that has the stomach for it.
Amendments can change the Constitution. If they couldn’t every descendant of slaves might not be a citizen today.

Only because the executive and legislature allowed them to. IOWs ceded their powers and upheld their ‘rulings’(imaginary law). Instead of impeaching the bastards like they should have.
Oh honey no. I do get it. She needs a sympathy appeal in order to overcome her thin resume that includes zippidy-do-dah as a person capable of running the executive branch of government.
The only way she is going to beat someone like Corey Booker (who has executive experience) is to get people to vote for her because they feel sorry for her because she is being attacked by all those mean nasty old white men.
Natural Born Citizenship is our built-in protection. It’s for all Americans, including those who are or appear to be black.
Let’s honor our founding fathers, ourselves and our children by restoring the Natural Born Citizenship requirement and protection as was originally intended.
We could also do the same with our reinterpretation of what separation of church and state means, as well freedom “of religion”, not “from religion”.
