He was not perfect.
But he did preach non-violence and content of your character
Todays generation has no clue what that means.

Amen
MLK was flawed and that said, without him, Blacks would be much worse off and things would have taken longer to dissolve the racist Jim Crow laws.
Most ignorant masses don’t know all MLK’s flaws; you know what? They never will. And we have to pick out battles. Do we want to die on the hill of MLK was a socialist, aldulterer, etc.? I don’t. I am comfortable knowing he was and letting my black brethren have that point and not spoil things for them.
I would rather educate and inform on Black Israelites who are racists in the face of the students from Covington, KY, and the fake Indian who paid by Soros confronted them and the MSM who spewed the false narrative and haven’t walked it back yet...that hill I will stand on.
Pick your battles...if you want unity, you won’t win all of them and some, just know you are right in your heart and be good enough with that.
Great points
A mature, reasoned analysis....thank u!
The Gaurdian - read no further.
Who here has advocated that? My point is simply that those who pontificate about "Disneyification" and the-whole-truth are hypocrites in not actually telling the whole truth. As has been pointed out in this thread, we all agree on the ideals of nondiscrimination and equal opportunity of which MLK spoke so stirringly; that doesn't mean everything he said or did was right, and those who would so argue need to be hoist on their own petard.
