Use their own political correctness to fight them. When addressed as “they” or “them” forcefully object, stating:
“That is incorrect! Please do not misgender me! My gender is not non-binary/ambiguous/indeterminate. It is (male/female). My pronouns are (him, his/her, hers (etc.)).
Now that I have told you that use of “they” or “them” in referring to me is offensive, if you continue to misgender me, use incorrect pronouns in referring to me or encourage others to do so, I will report you to the local police/human relations council for punitive action.”
That should cause a thoughtful pause in the conversation.
