What kind of tone would they have if a bunch of unknown people started walking into their home?

I wonder if they would be offering up concessions such as allowing a few of them already in the home to stay without penalty for a few years ... or offering to negotiate ... and doing all this calmly without yelling and screaming?
Would they have that sort of tone?
