Back when Jimmah’s brother Billy was selling beer and touring the country, he was “fetted” at the Oakland Auditorium in Oakland, CA. He was introduced by Carter Gilmore, who was at the time the first black elected to the Oakland City Council. During his introduction, Gilmore offered that since his first name was Carter, perhaps they were somehow related. When Billy took to the mike he went on to “assure” Councilman Gilmore that they could not be related because “he knew for a fact that there were no “N’s” in his family’s woodpile!” The Cahatahs have been forever a classless family.
