I believe the arm pit hair, here, signals a sort of “earthiness” , that men find attractive. In Sophia’s case, her earthiness was only one of her attractions, with or without the hairy pits. Obviously, (clinically speaking), the armpit hair is to send the mind straight to thoughts of other areas of hair. (I tested my hypothesis on my husband, by showing him the picture, and eliciting his response. My experiment proved my theory) ;)

Okay, your comments reminded me of a very old joke from the 60s. That is apropos to this.

So it goes like this, a very inexperienced man marries this woman. He’s never seen a woman naked or experienced any of the carnal Delights. She guides him into his first sexual experience. He’s enjoying it she’s enjoying it so much that as she is moaning she stretches her arms out. He looks at her unshaven armpits and says, oh goody two more.

I wouldn’t go by a sample of one. That’s certainly not the association that comes to my mind. I see a woman with shaggy pits and I think “MAN.”
