Certain groups of people in this country do not have freedom of speech.
In the pre-1776 days you could freely say all the nice, positive things you wanted about the British and King George.
Negative, harsh things about them often meant imprisonment or hanging.
How is it different today when males are so chilled by
intimidation that they cannot express opinions, say words,go to restaurants if you are seen as supporter of President Trump,or wear garments that leftists don’t agree with?
Ask the founder of Papa John, Curt Schilling, Jimmy the Greek Snyder,Rep. Steve King, or many others not as famous.
I realize employees, public officials and so on are different than average people, but free speech is lavishly used by the Left but suppressed on the Right. TV hosts or comics can make anti-Trump slander or threats and get pats on the back. Talk radio conservatives lose sponsors or their stations or their jobs over a slip of the tongue.
I just read Can You Be Fired for Hate Speech? Doesnt the First Amendment Protect Speech? by Tom Spiggle.-—I am not promoting him or his firm and don’t know anything about him. It was just interesting.

and social media “speech” discussed in

I just reread the declaration of Independence.
if you place the word liberal or Democrat in front of the grievances that were presented you can see now exactly where we would be now as compared to 1776.
