What’s interesting here is this: Trump has extended olive branch after olive branch. The demonrats keep denying it. This will push Trump to declare a National Emergency as he now calls it a “Humanitarian Crisis at the Southern Border” (notice the change in language today). The demonrats will trod off to the courts. An injunction will be placed on the National Emergency because the judge who thinks he can now determine such a thing will be repealed and it will be overturned in a higher court because a judge cannot determine matters of an emergency in which the President is privy to the security of the nation. Again the POTUS has played this well, by going onto national television he steals the talking points away from the demonrats to say it was childish meeting in which no video cameras were at.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi you are so in over your head. Some of your freshman met with Trump they are going to vote on the bill in the Senate and it will pass, then your own people are going to vote for it the House can you not see this coming, the next deal will be much less from President Trump if that don’t work HaHa

He is offering AMNESTY—permits to stay, work authorization, AND access to government benefits!!! I don’t care how they got here, how young they might have been, etc. Not our problem. They are here illegally and need to take their families home with them and leave our country. ALL OF THEM.

Offer every last one of the full amnesty, but they cannot bring in family and for the next 3 generations they cannot vote. Then see how this transpires.

Trump has offered a reasonable deal, hard to see how rand and file Dems not from 90% blue districts won’t start to break assuming voters prwssuee them..
I think you are missing my point. President Trump tried to shut down the obviously unconstitutional DACA last year and a 9th Circuit judge stopped that. It was appealed to SCOTUS. SCOTUS this week decided not to hear the case this year. Even if Trump does nothing the DACA parasites are protected until June 2020 at the earliest because of that decision. SCOTUS may decide not to hear it next year either. That is what I meant by he is not offering much that isn’t going to happen anyways.

As long as the polls say the shutdown is Trump’s and the Republicans party fault, Trump could offer them the world, and they would still turn him down.
The Democrats are using the shutdown as a monetary raising tool to attempt to take back the U S Senate. I think Gardner is already gone. This is all about Collins. How many federal gov’t workers are in Maine?
Jones in AL will lose his seat though. That would mean the Republicans would still have a two seat advantage in the U S Senate in 2020.
I think Trump ought to initiate the RIF process. Maybe that ought to scare them a little.
Regular folks don’t care about 800,000 non essential Federal gov’t workers.
I’ve been a laid off gov’t worker. No one opened up food pantries for me and my fellow workers who were laid off and get free food.
