You dont get to define his own concept of success, and more importantly, what the Navy says represents success. This is a problem throughout all of the services, and through society at large. Achievement and competence is no longer the metrics of success. Now, hiring actions, promotions, bonuses, selection for positions is based on social goals including diversity and identity groups. We do not have an established religion in this country, but we certainly do have the freedom to exercise our own religious views.
