Actually CNN broke the dossier story, then Buzzfeed published the actual dossier.

Then they got sued by people who were accused of thing in it they did not do.

Last I saw the suit was thrown out because a judge ruled that the dossier was itself newsworthy by virtue of the fact it was in the news (CNN, I guess).

But, I do think they did us a favor by printing the entire dossier, this allowed everyone to see how absurd it was, how poorly sourced it was, etc. They probably did more to debunk the "muh Russia" narrative than any other MSM outlet.
