To call it horrible implies you have a viable alternative. I don’t like it either, but he’s right: politically, they are not going to be thrown out. So, what’s the best compromise, not the best solution.

This was supposed to be done under the 1986 “Amnesty to End All Amnesties”. Border security and workplace enforcement in exchange for a huge amnesty. The security and enforcement never happened. The exact same thing will happen again unless amnesty comes after the last mile of wall is installed and e-verify is enforced with the seriousness of the IRS.

The law should be enforced. Period.

Chuck was such a Beltway Hack he couldn’t imagine anything other than the Swamp direction and priorities.

Here's something interesting about the 1986 amnesty ...

I saw an article on the subject last year, and it said that less than 30% of the illegal aliens covered by that amnesty ever bothered to normalize their situation by getting a green card or citizenship. In other words, 70% of these people had no interest in "amnesty" at all.

Trump already offered that - total amnesty, but no voting rights

AND THE DEMS REJECTED IT

"A brilliant man who is sorely needed and missed." ---

____________

Yes, Charles K. was keenly intuitive and also witty, and, he achieved great things having his terrible injury and disability. But there was regularly a haughtiness in his remarks that was not needed.

He was a GREAT guy nonetheless.

He is missed.

***

Often in life a greatmany people who have gone through or are continuing to go through constant pain and discomfort display an impatience and intolerance toward foolishness and weak-minded thinking. Charles was one of those people.

God bless him.
